Lockdown hair care - it's not too late!

Image
So a whole year has passed since we had our first lockdown, and what a roller coaster of emotions that has been!   We started with thinking it was a 3 week break - and we were all for it!.... little did we know! Just like us our hair has been faced with all kinds of changes and the need to adapt to new situations. Lockdown found us dealing with our hair a little less. Our plenty- a- pyjama days meant we were washing our hair less, which for people who do not have a greasy disposition that is quite ok as it gives the hair time to get some of the natural oils it normally (may not) get.  November 2020, and we are not quite where we would like to be! Lockdown version 2.0 was hardly on our Xmas wish-list, and abiding by the rules certainly is not easy but we are all doing our best to pull through and get rid of this second wave. ...and talking about waves, with Hair Salons closed for the next few weeks, lockdown does present the perfect opportunity to reconcile with your natural texture.  But with most of us having to deal with zoom calls on a regular basis while working from home, how can you make sure you are more curly goddess than Guurl what's zat?  Curls and natural texture in general need to be handled as minimally as possible during styling to reduce frizz. The Diffuser really is an under-rated piece of technology - the bowl-shaped attachment disperses the air flow from the hair dryer, helping dry your curls more evenly and gently, helping the ...

We love the summer! Well or most of us do!.... But if your hair could speak it would probably disagree with your infatuation with the hottest months of the year.. and for good reason really, because more often than not we do not treat it as well as we should - especially when we should be doing more... In fact we do tend to do more - but that is more damage - most of us want to go lighter in the summer months - and more often than not that means bleaching the hair. When we sunbathe we are careful with our skin, we use protection, we use aftersun... and that is exactly what we should be doing with our hair too. Think of bleaching your like getting sun burnt in that summer sun. You need the aftersun - for your hair that will be a good nourishing treatment. Here are some of our favourites: True Keratin: post-treatment Masque This masque with super food blend zaps frizz and boosts shine with a crisp citrus scent that lingers. Use this light and silky treatment...
