The 4 Winter Hair Colours you are gonna want!

Image
As you throw away that pumpkin you so meticulously carved for Halloween you know you are in full swing winter... and just as much as that vegetable has clearly gone by its expiry date, you want to make sure the same thing does not happen with your hair! But fear not as we got our annual round-up of all the cool hair colours and various hues that will make you look HOT to challenge the coldest of winters! The Money-piece Ok, so this has been around for a while and at Hair Colour Studio it has been a staple probably even before it actually was a thing - bottom line - we love it! In a nutshell, a lighter hue is placed at the front framing the face which helps to give more luminosity to the skin. The advantage of the money-piece is that of course it makes it quite low-maintenance since as it grows it will still look good with roots. You can also have it as subtle or dramatic as you please between full on balayage or tiny baby lights.   70's blonde It's official silver and platinum

Lockdown hair care - it's not too late!

So a whole year has passed since we had our first lockdown, and what a roller coaster of emotions that has been!   We started with thinking it was a 3 week break - and we were all for it!.... little did we know! Just like us our hair has been faced with all kinds of changes and the need to adapt to new situations. Lockdown found us dealing with our hair a little less. Our plenty- a- pyjama days meant we were washing our hair less, which for people who do not have a greasy disposition that is quite ok as it gives the hair time to get some of the natural oils it normally (may not) get. Of course the flip-side to this is if you have greasy hair naturally, keeping the sebum glands to behave is nearly impossible, so if you really wanted to be lazy with it but still needed to get on that dreaded zoom call it was a hat or a scarf or a band day. One thing lockdowns definitely gave us was a lot of time on our hands, and it looks as though a lot of you did put that time to good use, as research

Which Hair Trend will you choose when salons re-open?

It's a tough one at the moment, how are you holding up?.... and how are your tresses doing? It may sound like a bit of a cliche - but yes things are gonna get much better - hopefully very soon. At Hair Colour Studio we are determined to stay focused, so with that in mind we were not gonna let the hair trends pass us by like that just because we are currently socially limited! So as is customary (though perhaps about a month later than usual) we have put together the best Hair Colour Trends you should be getting excited about for the new year! Warm Tones This is a trend that is truly born out of a pandemic!  As this year our visits to the salon have been limited our colours were not at their tip-top freshest all the time, so some colours faded, some did not get re-freshed as often as we would have liked. All this gives way to our natural red tones to come through (the darker the hair the more red tones one will have) of course we didn't have much more choice than embracing them
