Kylie Minogue: A Hair-volution!
Hello there! - Had a bit of a break from this blog to hit South American shores...and my god was that fun....
You would think now I'm gonna come up with some Latin infused blog, but funnily enough we are going to the very other end of the earth - down under, Australia to be exact - to celebrate their best ambassador after the Kangaroo and the Koala (though the latter is roughly the same size).... Miss Kylie Minogue!
Now I'm not a big lover of Reality Tv, but I am a sucker for a talent show, so I already liked The Voice while everyone was slating it, but with the addition of Kylie on the panel, that was just TV that could not be missed (The other unmissable Tv talent show would of course be RuPaul's Drag Race...but that's a totally different story)
So, while everyone keeps going on about the X Factor Judges line-up for 2014, and the possible return of (yaaawwwwnnnnn....) Cheryle Cole, Ms. Minogue has been stealing the show on The Voice.
With over 25 years in the business, Kylie had to re-invent herself a few times,...some will say musically, some were hits others a miss, but we are gonna be all shallow and talk only about image.... Kylie's Hair-volution:
We must of course start with our neighbourly Kylie.....
A pseudo-mullet became a must have in 1987........ thankfully the Hairy Hat did not really catch on....
.....she then got back to some more acting with her film role in The Delinquents,
Channeling her inner 50s siren , she also gave us retro tuneage by the sound of tears on my pillow.
In the early 90s we satrted to get a glimpse of the pop diva that was still to come, and though the curls were out she kept those creeping curly roots hidden with the early 90s MUST-HAVE!!!..... The Hair Band!! - Better the Devil you Know!
Then came grunge... Kylie went au naturel.... let hair curls hang out again, and dished a few hair misses..... and then she saw the light .....and thank Heavens the alternative-dabbling Kylie was born!..... while she experimented musically, her hair was going to be no exception...... and yes we do love a Red Kylie....
More experimentation this time with length.......
In 1997 Kylie was in a relationship with French photographer Stephane Sednaoui, who encouraged her to experiment more with her creativity. While their mutual appreciation of Japanese culture and Manga gave us the imagery for Impossible Princess..... and showed us that there is more than one Kylie...
..... Indie Kylie, Dance Kylie, Sex Kylie and Cute Kylie....In the Did It Again Music Video.
Fast forward to 2000.....and out come those now iconic Gold Hot Pants courtesy of Manchester Born Stylist Mr.William Baker, who played a major part in the transformation of La Minogue in the new millenium..... and while Spinning Around, those locks said 'I am playful, I am Sexy'.....but mostly they shouted: 'I am back! - to stay!'

why in the Hell did I get confused there...?
.......................................................but back to Kylie,....
The mid-naughties was a dark time for Kylie, while in full swing with her Showgirl tour she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had to cancel her Australian leg f the show, as well as her appearance at Glastonbury.
Always the trooper, after nearly a year out of the spotlight, she used her website to create awareness and posted her first pictures of herself after chemotherapy...
Now we all go through that horrendous time of growing our hair after a short hair cut.... but Ms. Minogue not only sails through it.. but also looks stylish!! - now THAT is Talent!
2010 saw the release of her eleventh studio album - Aphrodite, and her album cover was a nod to the super woman that she really is.... but we loved her looking refreshingly human at the 2010 Elle Style Awards with her soft curls and back to a slightly warmer tinge,...
however, never one to play safe.....just to shake things up once more a year later she goes dark!
...and that takes us to present day.... The Voice Kylie
She has definitely tried a few hairstyles, we have had poodle curls, peroxide blonde, fiery red, and short crops....and needless to say she has rocked every single look!..... Present day, she settles for a tried and tested look with warm honey blondes and a wavy tousled look.... we think she looks fabulous in her now very much signature look..... Miss Minogue we salute you.
