World Cup 2014: The Good, The HOT and the Bad!

Like the whole Globe, we have Mega World-Cup Fever!

The World Cup which started in 1930 is getting close to it's 85th Birthday, but while the game is called the Beautiful one, one rarely puts beautiful + hair + football in one sentence.

We have all idolised/lusted over a footballer at some point or the other.....but let's face it, footballers either get it right with their looks - or AMAZINGLY WRONG - and when it is wrong we are talking some serious fouls here!

So while we get ready to be stuck to our screens in the next few weeks, we decided to compile a list of our favourite footie follicles....

The Best Hair/ Cutest / Hottest footballers of this Copa Do Mundo 2014.

Let's call it our very own dream team of 11 ;)

starting with someone probably not that much on your radar... #1

Algeria's Liassine Cadamunro was born in Toulouse and joined Sochaux's youth academy at 15. Three years later he signed for Real Sociedad,. In September 2011, the versatile defender made his debut for the senior team, drawing the attention of Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic, who called him up for a 2013 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Gambia in February 2012. This Adam can totally tempt us with that apple...

Born in Croatia, Dario Vidosic moved to Australia as an infant. He played for hometown club Brisbane Roar, before becoming one of several Aussies to head for German club Nuremberg.
Vidosic debuted for the Socceroos in the final match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ qualifying cycle, and made two further appearances during the Socceroos successful run to Brazil 2014.

Not even a year has passed since Erik Durm made his Bundesliga debut, yet now the Borussia Dortmund striker-turned-full-back is now one of the 23 names in the final Germany squad for the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. The 22-year-old is without doubt one of the biggest discoveries of the season.

Argentina's Ezequiel Lavezzi almost turned his back on football for good at the age of 16, when he started working as an electrician to help his family out.  But thankfully gave it another go. A slight-built but speedy right-sided wide midfielder, Lavezzi tends to like getting out of his kit… and with those tatts! (please do)…

He has got he to be our guilty pleasure.... When he is on point he is great - such as this GQ cover, but someone really needs to tell him mohawks are out! Hailed as a prodigy since his early teens and a much-talked about figure on the international football scene for years now, Neymar would appear at first glance to be a seasoned veteran. Yet in real terms, we are still in the formative phase of the career of a striker who is, at the tender age of 22, already seen as A  leading man.

Dejan Lovren is without a doubt a future regular in the heart of the Croatian defence.. He made seven appearances during Croatia’s World Cup qualifying campaign and has appeared for every youth side from the U-17s onwards, receiving his first call-up to the full national team at the age of just 19. But this week together with a couple more team mates made the headlines as pics of them skinny dipping were leaked onto the net.... (here we can only show you the top-half)

At 35 we could call him Vintage, but England's Frank Lampard surely knows how to look the part. It is good to have someone you can rely on being consistent.

Originally from the north of France and with the cutest disarming smile, Cabaye kicked off his professional career with Lille in 2004, Cabaye's talent, consistency and moments of inspiration quickly earned him recognition. Since his debut, Cabaye has proved a dependable presence for Les Bleus, most notably shining alongside Blaise Matuidi and Paul Pogba as France saw off play-off rivals Ukraine 3-0 to book their ticket to Brazil on 19 November 2013.

Powerful, athletic and strong in the air, Olivier Giroud is also supremely comfortable in front of goal, where his finishing, one-touch play and ability to improvise make him a constant menace. We are just happy he agreed to do Dieux du Stade! – Mon Dieu!
______________________________________________________________________________#10

Far from being disadvantaged by his short stature, Lorenzo Insigne is an explosive footballer who takes opponents on at every opportunity, using his low centre of gravity to throw them off balance. A product of the Napoli youth programme, ….His Dolce & Gabbana ads made us all a bit hot under the Collar, but then that is also half the Italian team.

Spanish Goalkeeper Iker Casillas is renowned as much for his agility, composure and superb reflexes as he for his humble and likeable character. Alongside his friend and Barcelona rival Xavi, Casillas was given The Prince of Asturias Award for Sport in 2012 for being a role model to youngsters.

And those are our Top 11.... of course we have no idea how these players would work together on a pitch... but really...who cares?

After our dream team, we leave you with - what happens when football hair is BAD!

Red Cards all round please! - Happy Footie
